Yesterday was the third annual School Grounds Day and Rowan Class played a full part in the day. The children continued to work on building the bottle greenhouse with the assistance of Mr Haycock. Another group collected worms to top up our wormery, so that we can have some lovely compost in the future. A third group went with Joe Williams, Steve Peach and Mrs Court to clean out the nature area and cut back willow. While that group was up at the nature area they discovered a badger sett as well as some fabulous pond creatures.
The final job for the class was to plant plenty of vegetables including the tomato plant challenge we are carrying out with Kafuro Primary School.
We would like to thank Mrs Court, Steve and Joe for all their help. Photos of the day are below.
