Catapult Challenge

This term Class As have been designing Roman style catapults in DT. Today the catapults were finished and a challenge was set: Who could fire a marshmallow the furthest? With Mr Burford in attendance to ensure fair play and a tape measure laid across the playground, each group fired their catapult. There were some very impressive results and Harrison’s group were sure they’d won when their catapult fired a marshmallow 12.80m. However, the group of Amelia, Zoe and Chloe fired their marshmallow a massive 13.10m with a low skiddy trajectory. Mr Burford was so impressed that every child was awarded a marshmallow to eat.
