Dear Mr Burford,

I am writing to inform you that school uniform should stay unless you want a school of fashion obsessed pupils, which I am sure you do not want. I think (along with plenty other pupils and staff) that school uniform is a vital thing to the school.

First of all, school uniform is the perfect way to identify pupils on school trips, outings or around the school. The red jumper with the school logo along with grey trousers or a skirt, make it easier for teachers or other adults to identify pupils on school trips. Do you really want a child to go missing for the sake of an outfit?

For example what if a child went to get their water bottle and the school trip was at a busy zoo. Somehow they got lost and can’t be found because all the children look the same.  What would the parents say, what would the council say? School uniform is necessary and the school needs it. If you were in this situation you would be feeling terrified and be panicking like mad.

As well as that, pupils might get bullied for not having the most stylish clothes. I am sure you don’t want a school of bullies do you? At least when pupils are wearing school uniform everyone looks the same and therefore cannot be bullied. Some people may argue that school uniform is expensive, but designer clothes are more expensive.  Also school uniform is more hard wearing and more suitable for charging round the playground in than fashionable clothes.

Furthermore, school uniform makes pupils look smart which is good for school photo and the blog. Some people may say that not all pupils go on the blog but pupils who do will want to look nice. So I think it is totally necessary for children to wear school uniform at all times. Also when pupils are going to different schools or sports events they will be able to show how amazing Liss Junior school pupils are. I am sure you want other schools to be jealous about how well behaved your students are?

In conclusion, I think it is an awful idea and you should totally re-consider your plan for no school uniform. If not, I will take serious action which will make a cold sweat trickle down your face.

Yours sincerely

Emily

Dear Mr Burford,

I am writing to inform you that the decision you are going to make tonight is to keep school uniform because it’s a really good piece of clothing to wear in school and on school trips, so that everyone keeps together. Do you want your popularity to drop at school? Please read on to find out some of the major needs of school uniform.

Firstly the reason that we want school uniform is that if we go on a school trip and we were all wearing home clothes, some of us might get lost because we couldn’t see the school logo and do you want reports of lost children?

Even though all of the school clothes our parents buy are expensive, but they are still good quality and they don’t need replacing until they grow small or something like that. If we go on trips to other schools for sports events the uniform represents the school.

On wear what you like days wearing home clothes will be more fun because if you wear home clothes all the time, then it would be really boring to be wearing home clothes again. It would be far cheaper wearing school clothes for the parents having to buy more home clothes for the children at your school.

If the children in your school had school uniform as we do if we didn’t then some children might get bullied, because they are not wearing the latest fashion clothes, but if we keep school uniform then nobody will get bullied and everything will be ok do you want the popularity to drop from your school?

Finally, if you don’t listen to this letter there will be some children who won’t be happy in school, because of there being no school uniform to wear, so please make the right decision and keep school uniform.

Yours sincerely

Yasmin

Dear Mrs Pritchard,

I am writing to inform you that school uniform should be allowed into the school. School uniform is a very good idea and should be allowed immediately. The following reasons should make you choose school uniform.

First of all, children can be recognised on school trips. If they wore their own clothes, when out of school, and they got lost, they won’t be found easily. However, when they have school uniform on, it will be easier to be found. Do you really want children to be lost on school trips?

Next, school uniform shows respect for the school it represents. It shows how people are taught. If we don’t have uniform, how can people know how great Liss Junior is? You want more children to come to this school. How will it be advertised to Liss and other places? There is no better way to persuade the children to come, than wearing school uniform.

As well as that, school uniform is hard to destroy and cheap to buy. Uniform isn’t much to buy, so parents won’t have to get loads. This is good for you because of the money that parents save can be used for buying normal clothes. The uniform is really hard to break. This means it can last a really long time before it can rip a tiny bit. It is nearly indestructible and won’t get complaints whatsoever. Do you want children with ripped clothes?

Finally, school uniform makes the children look smart. The polo shirt makes the children look neat and tidy. The black school shoes make them smarter. If children went to school in their own clothes, they would look all scruffy and uncomfortable. However, that wouldn’t be the same with school uniform. No one would have to spend ages looking for what to wear. Do you want children being late for school because they are looking for the clothes they want to put on?

In conclusion, I think that school uniform is a great idea for the school. If you do not choose school uniform, serious action will be taken. May you make the right choice and make children safe and sound on school trips.

Yours sincerely

Luke
