Class AS were visited by Molly on Thursday to learn about Uganda and the local language Runyankore – Rukiga. Molly gave a presentation about Uganda with the children learning about the national symbols and why the colours of the Ugandan flag are black, yellow and red. Molly also told the class about different Ugandan foods and they discovered that a rolex (an omelette wrapped in a chapatti – one of Mr Stanley’s favourite foods) costs as little as 15p.
The children enjoyed learning the numbers and finding out about the number patterns. Molly will be recording all the words that the children will be learning over the coming year so they will be able to pronounce them properly.
