Waking up are boiling room sweating like mad we got out of bed and headed to the window to check the weather and we saw the great big clouds so we thought it would be a chilly day. After getting dressed we all made sure that everyone had sun cream on. Then we headed down stairs for our delicious breakfast. After eating the breakfast we headed to the mini bus and then headed to Blenheim Palace. As we headed down the palace driveway the site of the building was out of this world. We were greeted a smart gentleman who guided us around the palace. Following him we made our way into the World War I exhibition. While there, we got to look through a periscope which was in a trench because it helped us look over the wall of the trench. We also got to try on World War 1 costumes such as hats, coats and trouser. Some of the girls tried on Nurse’s outfits.
Great Streatley Blog! Keep the news coming.
So wonderful to hear your Streatley trip is going well. It is great for us to be able to read and see what you have been doing in the form of the children’s diary. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your week.
