It’s just seven days to go until Mr Stanley flies out to Uganda for his two week visit. On Friday, children across Liss Junior School wrote letters to their counterparts in Kafuro Primary School and the Lower School had a look at some of the items Mr Stanley will be taking with him.
Yesterday a group of intrepid walkers undertook the Park to Park Challenge, walking from Staunton Country Park to Queen Elizabeth Country Park. This feat was made even more impressive by the fact that for at least half of the walk it was pouring with rain. Nevertheless, not one moan was heard and the walk was completed in four hours. Congratulations and thanks to Rosie Jukes, Georgia Winter, Laura Cox, Evelyn Welsh, John Galbraith, Henry Green, Eve Campbell – Noyce and Madeline Walker – Moffitt. Well dones are also due to Mrs Green and Mrs Galbraith for all their help and support. A final thank you to Mrs Frost who did some fantastic face painting as the Liss team wore the Ugandan National Flag with pride.
