Last Wednesday Class AS went on a geography field trip to Selborne to study rivers. We all had a fantastic time working with Simon and the children should be able to explain what PEP and TED means with all authority. They carried out a number of practical tasks while the parent helpers competed to see who could make the best notes.
In the afternoon the children were set the task of of making the best structure out of wooden logs and twigs. They were marked for aesthetics, height and sturdiness. The parent helpers got very involved and Mrs Davies’ group won to her obvious delight.
All in all a fantastic day! Many thanks to Simon for some great learning activities and to Mrs Olliffe, Mrs Redfern, Mrs Chung, Mrs Slack and Mrs Davies for all their help.
